Plans To Finish Our Editing

We sorted out a day to re-film what we need to and it is going to be on Sunday. On Monday, we will go to lunchtime workshop to start our editing and carry on through our afternoon lesson with Marisa.

This Sunday me and my group will have to go back to Shenaya's house and re-film some of the scenes seeing some of the footage was very dark when we went to edit. this means we are going to be a bit behind on editing when we go to that on Monday.

Editing - Day one

This day is proving to be So Long.
We're using to Final Cut Pro to edit our film opening. Because we filmed so much, we got a lot of clips and so are having to sit down and take our time to look over all the clips to see which ones are the right ones.
We got our memory cards which has all the clips and connected it to the computer. We then copied all the videos to our video drive and then put it all up on Final Cut Pro so we can edit it.

While we were editing our clips, we came across a couple of our videos which were very dark. We couldn't see what was happening in the clip. This is a bloody shame because we now have to sort out a day where we have to re-film the scenes that are dark. Because of this, our editing is being delayed. We were told to look back at the clips we filmed after filming but we didn't do it because on the day after filming, we couldn't connect the memory cards to Shenayas' laptop, stopping us from watching what we did. So while editing, we found our mistakes and are having to fix them on a day where we are free. This is quite annoying because we need to finish editing ASAP.

2nd Filming Session

Last week Friday me and the rest of the group
planned to have our second film session which
was our first real, full on filming session. we
decided to all meet up at Stratford station so we
could all go back to Shenaya's house so we
could film the house scenes (bedroom, kitchen,
staircase, hallway, front door and front yard)
for part of our opening.

We spent about two hours filming in Shenaya's
house and got a descent amount of footage that
was needed, also making up for the film session
that we had previously which was cancelled
because of the bad weather. As most of the filming
took place in the house the weather did not really
affect us which meant we were able to a lot more
filming done. So overall this filming session was
a success.

Filming - Day Three

We carried on filming on the first back to college. We had only an hour and a half to do everything we needed to do. Thankfully we had bits of filming from outside the college we could work on. This made it easier for us because we didn't need to start over. We just needed to polish it all off and film the scenes inside the college which we failed to do on our first day of filming. And we Did it!

Yaaaay! We're Done!

The First Day We Filmed

The weather let me and
my group down on our
first day of filming our
teen film opening which
meant having to pack up
early and cancelling our
first filming session because
it was very cold and windy
meaning disruption to the
filming equipment and
footage and temperatures
were too cold for our main
character and film crew
to be able to get anything
done.

Filming - Day Two

We filmed during the half term and i think it was our best day of filming. Me and Yashima met up with Shenaya at Stratford and then we headed back to Shenayas house where the filming took place. She's the main character and well the only character.
To be honest, i didn't think that we would do as much filming at her house. I was quite wrong. We were quite proud of how much we did.
The filming that we did first in college, was done with the weather being good in terms of it being sunny despite it being really cold and we hoped that the second time we filmed, it was going to be sunny again and luckily for us the day was good.
We did lots of the same take of the film opening from many different angles which we were advised to do so because it would then make it easier for us to edit. We would have all the angles and wouldn't need to film again and again for the bits we missed out or if something was wrong with it.
That day was indeed very successful. We got everything we intended to do all over and done with.
